Lux hat in der Ankündigung von Halide III jene Nutzer, die Halide *II vorziehen, nach den Gründen für ihre Entscheidung gefragt. Hier meine Antwort:
I’m a big fan of Halide. I love it for its original identity: a simple, direct app for RAW photography.
For photo editing, I rely on Lightroom or other purpose-built apps. Not my camera app.
I could ignore all these features that are useless to me, just as I have been doing. But you’ve broken the UI for me:
- a flashy icon for Process Zero: No unnecessary colors in the UI of a camera app!
- a 2x zoom-setting: No, my iPhone 13 has no 2x zoom, sadly, it only has a 3x zoom, and that’s not something a UI can solve.
Fix that, and I am in.
