Ich höre gerade die großen Hymen von #Ultravox wie ‘Reap the Wild Wind’, ‘Vienna’, ‘Hymn’ und ‘Dancing with Teaars in My Eyes’. Die sind nun auch schon mehr als 40 Jahre alt.

TIL: pass init doesn’t check if the given GPG-ID is correct. If it’s not valid, there’s no error at first. Only later, when you want to add the first password, do you get incomprehensible errors.
TIL: pass init prüft nicht, ob die angegebene GPG-ID zutreffend ist. Wenn sie nicht valide ist, gibt es zunächst keinen Fehler. Erst später, wenn man das erste Passwort ergänzen möchte, bekommt man unverständliche Fehler.

Leider sehen es zu wenige so und zerstoren funktionieren Strukturen für sich – da habe ich kein Mitleid – und Andere – was mich richtig sauer macht.

That paragraph, from an American official, is worth rereading. It asserts to the court that a person’s lack of criminal record proves that they are more dangerous than people who do have a criminal record because their clean record simply shows that the government lacks a complete profile of their crimes.
Erschreckend.
In the run-up to Germany’s federal election in February, for example, there was a series of attacks against civilians in Germany by Afghans and other immigrants. According to a senior German intelligence official we spoke to shortly before the election, the German agencies believed that Russian security agents may have instigated these attacks in order to inflate support for the far right, which opposes German support for Ukraine.

Amazing how all the AI amounts to just doing a search for “gay” and finding Enola Gay or “trans” and finding transgenic, and yet, members of the Fascist Party in Congress still thinks Musk and his crew have big beautiful brains and amazing AI.
“We just glued code together we found on Stack Overflow and it worked until it didn’t" has been a problem for years, but Copilot lets the unwary glue a lot of code together with unparalleled speed. :)

The problem for Trump is not a lack of precedent; his policies’ connection to American history is clear. The problem is that McKinley’s tariff approach does not suit today’s world.
